The Nigeria Handball Premier league is slated to dunk off this month in Benin City, Edo State, the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) have announced.
According to a statement signed by Secretary General of HFN, Almu Umar Lambu, the Premier League will hold from June 30 to July 12 2023.
Twenty-two teams (12 male teams and 10 female teams) are expected to participate in the league including the teams promoted from the National Division One League of 2022.
Games will be played at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and at the Etete Sports Complex in Benin City.
Lambu also said all players transfers/loans should be concluded on or before June 25, 2023, while urging team officials to make haste in concluding the registration process ahead of the commencement of the league matches.
