Nigeria’s Ambassador to Cote D’Ivoire, Ifeoma Akabogu-Chinwuba, on Saturday honoured Chief Sandra Duru during the just concluded West Africa Nigeria Conversation Centenary Leadership Award.
The event took place on April 5, 2014 at the embassy of Federal Republic of Nigeria in Abidjan, the capital of Cote d’Ivoire.
The award was in recognition of Duru’s immense contributions to providing solutions to unemployment, violence and educational problems in Nigeria.
The award was given to her after the presentation of her book titled: “Strategies To Actualizing Students and Youths Support Trust Fund.
The book caught the attention of world great giants and lovers of the Great Nigeria Projects.
While speaking after the book presentation, Akabogu-Chinwuba described the book as a full package and the only tool to solving violence and poverty in Nigeria.
She gave her full endorsement and also promised to help spearhead the project.
The awardee, who is also the Founder and Executive Director of Pre-Adult Affairs Organization, said: “We are highly elated for this special recognition and we are calling on all Nigerians within and in the Diaspora to key into this project so as to save our future, the future of our children and the generation yet unborn.”
The event had in attendance eminent personalties such as Segun Awolowo, the Chairman of Nigeria Export Council; Jude Moses, the Nigeria Youth President in Cote D’Ivoire; Frank Ereko; and Alhaji A. Tajudeen, the Regional Head EcoBank in Cote’D’ivore.
Others at the conference included Olaseni Bayewumi, the Chairman of Nigeria Conversation; B. Blackson, the representative of the Economic Community of West African State; and several representatives of concerned ministries from Nigeria.
