Osasu, one of the daughters of former Governor of Edo State, Lucky Igbinedion, has lent her voice in support of the #EndSARS protests across the country.
During the protest, Osasu was very proactive as she broadcast live from the protest ground.
The media personality, who aired the protest on her TV show, TOSTVNET, said Nigerians want things to change right now.
She said: “Nigerians are tired of poor leadership, poor health care, poor education and we want things to change right now.
“Period.”
Osasu’s father was Governor of Edo State for eight years on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party from 1999 to 2003.
This was after serving as Mayor of Oredo Municipality from 1987 and 1989 and later served as Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum during his governorship.
In January 2008, Igbinedion was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on 142 counts of financial fraud.
This concerns allegations that he embezzled $24 million using front companies.
He was later handed a fine for the offence by the court.
