Super Eagles of Nigeria will enjoy massive support from Nigerians living in Brazil when the 2014 World Cup kicks off on June 12 this year as reports coming out of the Samba country points towards the fact that Nigerians in the country are already excited to receive the Eagles.
About 10,000 Nigerians living in the city of Sao Paulo have been encouraged to rally round the Super Eagles of Nigeria and cheer them to envisaged victories at the 2014 World Cup holding in Brazil. as from June 12 this year.
The Nigeria Supporters Club boss, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, hit Sao Paulo last Friday and commenced his mobilisation drive to garner support for the Eagles.
Ladipo disclosed from Sao Paulo, Brazil on Tuesday that he was overwhelmed with the turnout of Nigerians at the club’s launch held in Sao Paulo.
“As I speak with you now, a lot of Nigerian football fans have joined the Nigeria Supporters Club here in Sao Paulo and I am elated and impressed with their enthusiasms to support the Super Eagles,” Ladipo said.
Former Sharks Football Club player, George Darlington, who is also the Secretary of Nigerians in Diaspora and also Vice President of the Nigerian Community in Brazil. has been assisting Dr. Ladipo in the mobilisation process and in rallying full support for the Super Eagles in all the matches the Nigerian team would play in the World Cup.
“Today (Tuesday), we witnessed a large turnout of Nigerians living here in Sao Paulo alone who have shown huge interest in throwing their full weight behind our darling Super Eagles in the World Cup, most especially here that is one of the venues the team would be playing and I am very happy with this. Dr. Ladipo has been doing a great job in the mobilisation process and we have cooperating and helping him out here,” Darlington disclosed from Sao Paulo on Tuesday night.
