A photo of Nigerian soldier receiving treatment on a mattress supported by branches while his IV fluid is hanging from a tree has been trending on social media.
In the photo, the sick soldier was being treated by his colleague in a location that was not disclosed after a battle.
This is coming five months after Soldiers of an unidentified battalion in Operation Lafiya Dole in Borno State staged a protest over their posting to a location in the Theatre of Operation.
The protesting soldiers stormed the headquarters of the Theatre Command in Borno State on March 25, 2021 shooting sporadically into the air as they rejected their posting.
They also cited non-payment of allowances and poor equipment as reasons for their rebellion.
