A businessman on Wednesday night collapsed and died at Ikota Estate, along Victoria Island-Epe Expressway in Lagos State, watching the football match between Argentina and Netherlands.
The businessman, Ukachukwu Onuoha, 48, from Nnewi area of Anambra State, was said to have been viewing the match in his flat when the incident occurred.
According Obiefuna, who resides at Ikota, Onuoha was a businessman who dealt on tiles.
He was also a staunch supporter of the Argentine football team.
Obiefuna said Onuoha was hypertensive.
The source said that the incident occurred during the second half of the match when the Netherlands came close to scoring.
Obiefuna added that Onuoha screamed: “Yeeeh!”
He immediately gave up the ghost.
The source said his wife on seeing the lifeless body of hubby, also collapsed and was rushed to a hospital where she was revived.
Onuoha’s corpse was moved on Thursday morning to Nnewi, where it would be deposited in a mortuary, pending burial arrangements.
