Nigeria’s Consular General in the United States of America, Ambassador Geoffrey Teneilabe, has promised to host to Super Eagles after the friendly match against the El-Tri of Mexico at the Reliant Stadium, Huston, Texas.
The reception, according to the Team Coordinator, Emmanuel Attah, is expected to be an interesting one should the African Champions defeat their Mexican counterparts.
Attah’s words: “It is a battle of two continental champions.
“So it is going to be a tough game but we believe our boys will teach the Mexicans some football lessons.
“The players are in great shape and they are raring to go.
“The Mexican has some big names in world football but we are aware that names don’t play football.
“We had wonderful training sessions here and I believe the boys are ready to make Nigerians proud once again.”
Meanwhile, Nigerians in United States have mobilized to storm the match venue in order to cheer the Eagles to victory. This much was said by an insurance agent, Roberta Birhiray.
Birhiray said: “We are mobilizing Nigerians to turn out en mass to cheer the Eagles.
“His Excellency the Ambassador is doing a great job of it.
“There is great excitement.
“Can’t wait for the game to come alive.”
