The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Friday at an emergency meeting in Abuja reinstated the sacked board oif the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).
In its review of the recent developments in the NPL with special regards to the resolution of the Premier League Club Owners removing the Chief Rumson Baribote-led Board and constituting an Interim Committee, the NFF Executive Committee unanimously rejected the dissolution of the board on the ground that it does complies with the provisions of the NPL Statutes.
The Executive Committee directed immediate convening of a proper Congress in line with the NPL Statutes.
The Aminu Maigari led body appealed to NPL stakeholders to conduct its activities in a manner that will not bring the beautiful game into disrepute, and allow the commencement of the Nigeria Premier League season within the shortest possible time.
