Reports reaching us from the Nigeria Football Federation Glass House in Abuja say the President of the NFF, Alhaji Aminu Miagari, will be addressing a press conference on Friday morning (today).
The media briefing which is scheduled for 10am, The Eagle Online gathered, has the suspension of disloyal board members as the main item on the agenda.
It will be recalled that the Aminu Maigari-led Board was reinstated late on Wednesday after Justice L. P. Lot of a High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau State, vacated an interim injunction restraining Maigari and the board members from managing football affairs in the country.
Our investigation revealed that since the reinstatement of the board, the opposing board members have also been strategising on how to unseat Maigari.
Also on their agenda to remove are Maigari’s loyalists – Barrister Chris Green, High Chief Emeka Inyama and Alhaji Fresh.
They are said to be gathering signatures of other aggrieved board members and will call for a meeting as soon as they have mustered the required two third.
