Warri Wolves Football Club boss, Amaju Pinnick, has vowed to restrict any move by the Nigeria Football Federation to force him to enter into transfer negotiations with rival Rangers International Football Club as regards Super Eagles Africa Cup of Nations hero, Sunday Mba, when the ownership tussle on the player has not even been resolved by the football house.
In a chat with The Eagle Online Sports on Thursday, Pinnick, who also has another Super Eagles player, Goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim, trying to team up with same Rangers, is not happy that the issue has been dragging while he expects the NFF to have declared Wolves as the owner of the player based on the evidences on ground.
Pinnic also said that NFF has no right to tell him to enter transfer negotiations with Rangers since the main problem has not even been addressed, which is the ownership tussle between the two clubs.
The no-nonsense Warri Wolves boss, who has not closed all doors for amicable resolution of the issue but insisted that his club must be in the driver’s seat concerning the issue, revealed that in the next one week the NFF would come out to declare Wolves as the rightful owner of Mba.
He said: “On Sunday Mba, it is evidently clear that the player is owned by Warri Wolves.
“I can assure you that in the next one week, the NFF would come out to make pronouncement on the matter.
“The evidences available points to the fact that Warri Wolves is the rightful owner of the player.
“The option they made initially was that yes we can negotiate but the NFF cannot tell Warri Wolves to negotiate with Rangers.
“The problem on ground is to determine the ownership of the player.
“It now behooves on Warri Wolves to say whether they want to sell to Rangers or not.”
