The Nigeria Football Federation has assured the national Under 23 team, otherwise known as the Dream Team VI, of the support needed in their quest to qualify for both the All Africa Games and next year’s Rio Olympic Games.
The Acting President of the NFF, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, gave this assurance while addressing the team at the FIFA Goal Project pitch on Friday.
Akinwunmi said: “Whatever we will do to assist you, I can assure you that the federation will not shy away from it.
“We did not end last year on a high due to our failure in qualifying for the Nations Cup.
“So we want you to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians by qualifying for all the competitions you have entered for.”
Akinwunmi was also satisfied with the conduct of the team, saying there has been no negative report from the camp since they started with the screening exercise.
He promised to provide more kits for the players to train with as the federation has just taking delivery of new kits.
He also advised to the players to remain disciplined at all times in order not incur the wrath of their handler.
