An Indian medical student, Manuchi Chhillar, has been crowned the new Miss World.
The event, held at a Chinese resort on Saturday, led to the emergence of the 67th Miss World.
Chhillar, 20, is the sixth Indian winner of the long-running contest.
Others who had emerged Miss World before her included Bollywood actresses Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai.
Her win brings India level with Venezuela as the countries with most victories in the history of the pageant.
