President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Justice Ibrahim Bukar as the Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory.
This was contained in a statement issued by Soji Oye, the acting Director (Information), National Judicial Council, in Abuja on Friday.
According to the statement, the appointment followed the recommendation of the NJC under the Chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mariam Aloma Mukhtar.
The statement said the appointment was also sequel to confirmation by the Senate.
