Danny Blind has been appointed the new head coach of the Netherlands football team.
The 53-year-old replaces Guus Hiddink, who quit the role at the start of the week following 10 months in charge.
Blind, who won 42 caps as a player for the Dutch national side, had been working as Hiddink’s assistant coach.
The Netherlands are currently in third place in their Euro 2016 qualification table, taking 10 points from a possible 18.
They continue their qualifying campaign on September 3 at home to leaders Iceland.
