The technical crew and management board of Glo Premier League side, Nembe City Football Club, have been dissolved.
Erstwhile General Manager of the team, Meremu Okara, who confirmed the development, also disclosed that former junior international, John Aranka, who served as Chief Coach of the club last season, has been appointed to oversee the management and technical affairs of the club in the interim, pending when a new management board and technical crew would be reconstituted.
Okara said: “Yes, I can confirm to you that the President of the Club, Chief Victor Rumson Baribote, announced the dissolution of the management board and technical crew and appointed Coach John Aranka as caretaker of the management and technical affairs of the club pending the reconstitution of the management and technical crew.
“But in my own case, I had earlier intimated the president of the club about my intention to leave at the end of last season.
“There are no hard feelings except that I wish to try my hands elsewhere.
“I shall, however, remain a part of the club.
“I would be working from the background.”
Meanwhile, Nembe City is expected to resume preparation for the new season on Thursday, with Coach Aranka expected to take charge of proceedings.
