The Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has been tasked alongside nine governors with finding a solution to the killings by herdsmen in several states of the country.
The task was handed down to Osinbajo and the governors by the National Economic Council, which met as the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday.
The decision was conveyed to State House Correspondents by the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Ganduje said governors on the committee are those of Kaduna, Zamfara, Taraba, Benue, Adamawa, Edo, Plateau, Oyo and Ebonyi States.
He said the committee would collaborate with the Federal Government in addressing impunity regarding killings and violence.
