In a bid to free a student, Dare Olatunji, being detained by the Department of State Service, the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students met on Sunday in Minna, the Niger State capital.
The meeting was held at the Federal University of Technology, Minna to free the 500 level student of the Department of Technology Education.
The meeting, which had in attendance the Acting Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Iyaka Ahmed, also had top delegates of the national body of NANS, including the National President, Comrade Aruna Kadiri; the President, FUT, Minna, Comrade Hamza Lateef; as well as the newly elected Coordinator of NANS Zone A.
After the closed door meeting at the old Senate Building, Bosso Campus, Kadiri assured the students that Ahmed has promised to give the association positive feedback in two hours.
