The National Association of Nigerian Students has condemned the recent attacks on innocent citizens in Kaduna state and Borno, leading to the death of many Nigerians.
The National Public Relations Officer of the association, Bestman Okereafor, made the condemnation in a statement in Enugu on Friday.
Okereafor commiserated with families of the victims in the attacks.
He said: “NANS, in clear terms, condemned the recent attacks that took place in some parts of the country.
“So far, according to reports, over 50 lives have been lost in the attacks in Borno and Kaduna state.’’
The association called on the military to intensify efforts aimed at crushing the insurgency and armed banditry in the country, in the interest of national unity.
Okereafor, however, commended the efforts of the military “in keeping Nigeria safe and united as one and indivisible entity’’.
