Naira records mix performances against foreign currencies
The Naira depreciated marginally against the dollar at the official and parallel markets on Monday, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The Naira, at the Bureau de Change, closed lower at N164.50 from N165 it achieved on October 18.
At the “black” market, the Naira traded for N164 to the dollar while at the official market, it sold for N159.
The currency, however, remained firm against the Pound at the Bureau de Change.
It sold for N265 to the Pound from the N266 it sold on Friday.
It traded at N265 to the Pound at the black market while it went for N250 at the official market.
Also, it slightly appreciated against the Euro as it sold for N225 from the N226 on October 18 at the black market.
At the official market, it depreciated by selling for N245.
