Hardship in the camp of the Nigeria Premier League side, Niger Tornadoes, will soon be a thing of the past.
The Eagle Online gathered on Monday that the Niger State Governor, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, has promised to approve and release substantial funds to the management of the club.
Aside from outstanding balance of last season sign on fees to the players and coaches, the management of the club, led by Suleiman David, is yet to secure funds, weeks after the commencement of the ongoing season.
“There is positive development in Niger Tornadoes. Last week, the State Government through the Ministry of Sports raised a memo to the State Executive Council on the need to release funds to the management and the governor has assured that it will be treated with urgency,” said our source who sought for anonymity.
