One of top fuji lords, Abass Akande Obesere, has broken the silence over his 10-year feud with King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal.
Speaking with The Eagle Online, the Asakasa crooner said he would settle the issues at stake with K1 only if he stops carrying airs of arrogance around him, especially parading himself as the King of Fuji Music.
According to the Ibadan, Oyo State born fuji artiste: “After the death of Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, K1 has been parading himself as the new King of Fuji Music in Nigeria when General Kollinghton Ayinla is alive.”
He added that the Ayinla, the kebe Kwara exponent, has been playing fuji music long before their generation.
He said as such, that makes him the father of fuji music genre.
“Even after the death of Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde, K1 does not have the to call himself the leader of fuji music and he can never be a king over me,” Obesere said.
He further reiterated that King Wasiu Ayinde can only be a lord on his own music but not on fuji music.
He said: “He has been rude to the elderly ones and cheated the younger ones in the industry.
“That is why somebody like me will never respect him on any ground.”
Obesere said the dictum is to respect those who deserve it.
