Presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Wednesday said his greatest mistake was to support President Muhammed Buhari’s change mantra in 2015.
Kwankwaso added that the change he and others who followed and supported Buhari envisaged was dashed and that he will change the change.
He said this while addressing Niger State PDP faithful and supporters at the party state secretariat in Minna.
He said he will not go for consensus but would support any candidate that emerges.
He said: “The much talked about change only brought hardship.
“We sought for change in 2015 and along the line, I realised the change only brought about more killings, hunger, under-development, poverty and unemployment.
“I will not support or remain in that type of change.
“That is why I am back to the PDP to change the change that has brought untold hardship on Nigerians.”
Kwankwaso said further that he will not support to consensus but that whoever emerges after the primaries will get his maximum support.
According to him: “The party should be fair to everybody and ensure smooth primaries.
“I will urge all my fellow contestants to come together for the interest of Nigeria.”
He further urged Nigerians to embrace and open their doors wide for the Kwankwasiya group.
The presidential aspirant, who was heralded by a mammoth crowd, adorned the popular Kwankwansiya red cap.
He earlier had a closed door meeting with former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
