Musa happy to prove critics wrong

Ahmed Musa on Wednesday said he had proved his critics wrong with the display against Argentina at the Estardo Beira in Porto Allegre, Brazil.
Musa scored Nigeria’s two goals and could have made it three but for Pablo Zabaleta who blocked his low drive in the second half.
He said: “People say so many things about me and the players but the game is not easy.
“I am happy with the two goals and the fact that Nigerians saw a different Musa today.
“I will work hard to do better in future games for Nigeria.”
On the game generally, Musa said Nigerians should be proud of the efforts put in by the team against Argentina.
He said: “We had a very good game generally and my happiness is that we are through to the second round of the competition.
“It is not easy playing against a team like Argentina but we gave a good account of ourselves and we were just unlucky not to have earned a draw.”
Musa is the first Nigerian player to score two goals for Nigeria in a World Cup match.
