The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee on Friday in Abuja approved the conferment of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria on 21 lawyers.
Ahmed Saleh, the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court and Secretary of the Committee, said the LPPC took the decision at its 119th General Meeting.
The chief registrar said 124 applications were received this year.
Saleh said three academics and 18 advocates, including a woman, made the final list.
The new SANs, he said, would be sworn-in on September 21 at a special session of the Supreme Court to mark the beginning of the new legal year.

Others are Adeniyi Adegbonmire, Aderibigbe Adedeji, Emmanuel Aguma, Dr. Muiz Banire, Emeka Etiaba, Abimbola Akeredolu, Olumuyiwa Akinboro, Gordy Uche and Uchechukwu Obi.
Kehinde Eleja, Prof. Paul Idornigie and Dr. Oladapo Olanipekun also made the list.
