Nigeria’s Victor Moses has returned to Chelsea for treatment after his season was ended with a hamstring problem.
The Nigerian international joined Stoke on a season-long loan deal last summer.
But his spell in the Potteries has been cut short after he picked up an injury in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at West Ham.
Reports have it that Moses has been sent back to Stamford Bridge for treatment after the results of a scan at Stoke’s training ground revealed a problem with the winger’s tendon.
The injury to Moses could see Mark Hughes snub the chance to sign the 24-year-old on a permanent basis.
Moses has made just 27 appearances for Chelsea following a £9 million move from Wigan in 2012.
He spent last season on loan at Liverpool before linking up with the Potters in August.
