Chelsea of England star, Victor Moses, has expressed regret over his inability to join the Super Eagles in their quest to qualify for the Brazil 2014 World Cup final.
Moses, who is currently down with injury, played a vital role as Nigeria clinched the AFCON 2013 trophy in South Africa early this year.
But the former Wigan FC playmaker will be missing when the national team files out against Mexico in USA.
He would also be left out of the crunchy World Cup qualifiers against Kenya and Namibia and the Confederation Cup in Brazil.
Moses said he was left with no other option than to adhere to the instructions of Chelsea medics, asking him to stay away from action for a while.
“Devastated not to be able to represent my country this summer but have to respect medical advice on injury. I’ll be supporting Nigeria though,” Moses twitted.
Moses was instrumental to Chelsea’s Champions League qualification and the Blues’ Europa League win.
