Speaking against the backdrop of of their 4-1 loss on penalties to Arsenal in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday, the wing back said: “Not the ending we were hoping for on Sunday in the end but we feel fit and ready for a big season ahead. Fans were amazing #CFC.”
Moses netted his first competitive goal for the Premier League champions in nine months when he refiled home in the first minute of the second half, but their London opponents equalized with eight minutes remaining.
Penalties had to decide the winner of the contest and Moses’s teammates Courtois and Alvaro Morata failed to convert their spot-kicks.
