Liverpool forward, Takumi Minamino will leave Anfield this summer.
According to the BBC Sport’s Mandeep Sanghera, the Japan international will be a Monaco player next season.
The reporter wrote the following: ‘Liverpool has agreed to sell Japan international Takumi Minamino to Monaco for €18 million (£15.5 million).
‘The Ligue 1 side was one of a number of clubs interested in the 27-year-old.
‘The deal for Minamino is worth a fixed €15 million (£12.9 million) and €3 million (£2.6 million) in add-ons.’
Liverpool signed Minamino from RB Salzburg for a transfer fee of £7.65 million back in January 2020.
However, the forward was not given very much opportunity at Anfield. Minamino only made 53 appearances for Liverpool’s first-team.
The reality is, he has been behind the likes of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane.
