Apparently confident that he will pick the Peoples Democratic Party governorship ticket in Kano State, Mohammed Abacha, son of late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, has vowed to root out the ‘Kwakwansia’ out of the state.
‘Kwakwansia’ is the political machinery of the incumbent Governor, Mallam Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the All Progressives Congress.
Speaking with State House correspondents after meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan behind closed doors at the State House on Friday, Abacha said the stolen mandate of the PDP would be reclaimed in 2015.
He recalled playing a key role in bringing Kwankwaso on board as governor, saying it would be easier for the PDP to defeat the APC candidate and the Deputy Governor of the state, Abdullai Ganduje.
His words: “If I was not a good candidate, I wouldn’t give anybody support.
“We are hopeful.
“I wouldn’t want to say too much.
“I said it before that it was a PDP state.
“It was a PDP ticket.
“It was taken or converted or even stolen whatever you want to call it, so be it.
“The chances of the PDP are still bright.”
