Media mogul, Mo Abudu, has commenced production on her latest movie, ‘Oloture’, barely one week after the trailer was released for ‘Chief Daddy’.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Abudu is known for producing blockbusters including the 2016 hit movie, ‘The Wedding Party’ and its 2017 sequel through her company, EbonyLife Films.
Announcing the upcoming ‘Oloture’ on her instagram handle @moabudu, she said: “Trapped on a terrifying journey, she sacrifices everything to expose the truth.
She added: “This story is one that I am passionate about and I can’t wait to share it with you. We have an incredible team of creatives on this project.”
The movie, directed by Kenneth Huang, is written by Yinka Ogun and Craig Freimond with the original story idea conceived by Mo Abudu and Heidi Uys.
‘Oloture’ stars Omoni Oboli, Patrick Doyle, Segundo Arinze, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Sharon Ooja, Wofai Fada, Beverly Osu, Ada Ameh among others.
EbonyLife’s first feature film ‘Fifty’ was one of the first Nollywood films to be picked by Netflix.
This was followed by their blockbuster hit, ‘The Wedding Party’, which is still the highest grossing Nigerian film.
The media company also produced fan-favourites, ‘Royal Hibiscus Hotel’ and legal drama series, ‘Castle and Castle’.
NAN reports that the newest production, ‘Chief Daddy’ stars Patience Ozokwo, Ini Edo, Funke Akindele and Joke Silva.
It is set to hit cinemas on December 14.
