The formal campaign flag off of Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, the gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in the August 9 election in Osun State, will hold on Saturday in Osogbo, the state capital.
Expected to do the official flag off are the National Leader of the party and the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko; the Party’s National Chairman, Barrister Dan Nwayanwu; and members of the the party’s National Working Committee.
Though Akinbade has been moving round the state in a bid to sell his candidature to the people, the official take off will be held on Saturday at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park in Osogbo.
A statement by his spokesman, Kayode Oladeji, said the programme is expected to be graced by national leaders of the party and thousands of party supporters across the state.
Equally, representatives of Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress, students bodies and leaders of labour related bodies are expected to grace the flag off.
The statement then implored members of the party and the people of the state to troop out in large numbers so as to ensure the success of the programme.
