Super Eagles’ captain, John Mikel Obi, propelled his Chinese Super League team, Tianjin TEDA, to their first victory in the league on Sunday in a 2-0 win over Chongqing Danladi Lifan.
Tianjin TEDA are now ninth on the league table with four points from three games.
The former Chelsea star opened the scoring for his team in the 48th minute.
His compatriot, Brown Ideye, lasted for 65 minutes before he was replaced by Dong Wang.
