Agnieszka Radwanska came from a set behind to stun world number one and top seed Simona Halep at the Miami Open.
Radwanska, the former world number two now ranked 32nd, won 3-6 6-2 6-3 to reach the third round.
After losing a scrappy first set the 29-year-old from Poland roared 4-0 ahead in the second, dropping just four points in the process, on her way to drawing level.
Romanian Halep, 26, broke early in the decider but Radwanska – who won this title in 2012 – hit straight back and reeled off six of the last seven games to claim victory in an hour and 48 minutes.
Radwanska will now face three-time Miami Open champion Victoria Azarenka.
The Belarusian advanced to the fourth round after seeing off Latvia’s Anastasija Sevastova 3-6 6-4 6-1, hitting 33 winners and making 72 per cent of first serves.
