The People’s Democratic Party governorship candidate in the 2019 general elections in Plateau, retired Lt.-Gen. Jeremiah Useni, has admonished Nigerians, especially Muslims, to imbibe the spirit of truthfulness and peaceful coexistance to make nigeria better and greater.
Useni made the call in his Eid-el-Maulud message signed by his Media Consultant, Yiljap Abraham, and made available to newsmen in Jos on Monday.
The former FCT Minister noted that a time like this, in our celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed, we think more of how to live together no matter our religious and ethnic inclinations for the good of our nation.
“As I give my good wishes to my beloved Muslim citizens on this blessed day of Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed, we remember Him for his hard work in founding and building the religion of Islam to the point it is today.
“I, therefore, call on Muslims and indeed, all other Nigerians of different faith to set the goal of truthfulness as a habit in each individual from now onward if we truly want to build a progressive and stable nation.
“Truth will give us strength and courage to confront our development aspirations as well as the confidence to build a nation in which everyone feels a sense of inclusiveness.
“As God fearing citizens of Nigeria, let us live in truth, interact in truth, resolve our conflicts in truth and govern at all levels in truth,” he said.
