Dutch coach, Louis Van Gaal, celebrated his debut in Manchester United with a 7-0 win over MLS side, LA Galaxy, as English Premier League giants started the North American pre-season tour in Pasadena, California.
Man United’s talisman, Wayne Rooney, scored two goals late in the first half after Danny Welbeck, also an English international in Brazil World Cup, broke the deadlock 13 minutes into the the match.
Ashley Young and young defender, Reece James, each added two goals after the interval to round off the 7-0 victory for the visitors.
It was the first official match for the 62-year-old van Gaal to work as the manager of Manchester United after he replaced the sacked David Moyes two months ago and led the Netherlands to a third finish at the 2014 World Cup.
