Man U denies Pogba £600k weekly

Manchester United have denied claims Paul Pogba has demanded a £600,000 per week contract to remain at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are looking to keep the Frenchman at the club, despite him wanting to leave for Real Madrid in the summer.
No club were willing to take a chance on Pogba with a £180 million price on his head.
Still, Man United want to keep their midfield superstar and are willing to improve his current £300,000 per week package.
There were reports, though, the 26-year-old wanted his weekly salary doubled to keep him under the stewardship of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The club have now come out and refuted the claims surround his wages.
An Old Trafford insider told Mirror Sport: “Pogba’s only focus right now is trying to be fit to help his team-mates.
“Reports of him demanding £600,000-a-week to stay aren’t true. Paul has two years left on his contract so time is on our side in terms of discussions on a new deal.
“The club made it clear in the summer that we want Paul at United and that remains the case.”
Pogba will continue his recovery from injury over the international break having been left out of the France squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers.
talkSPORT pundit and ex-Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan recently claimed he would ditch Pogba in an effort to send a message to players at the club and those joining.
“I personally would have sold Pogba last year, moved him along and made changes that are very definite.
“The reason why I fear for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is I don’t think he’s a definite manager. I think he’s learning his trade on other people’s time and on their dime and I think Manchester United need better than that.
“And players like Paul Pogba removed out of the club sends out very strong message about what Manchester United are really about.”
