The Lagos State Police Command says it has detained a man for allegedly killing his neighbour and her son over an environmental sanitation dispute in the Lekki area of the state.
The command Spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Lagos State.
Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police, said that the incident happened on Sunday at about 10:50pm and investigation was ongoing to ascertain what the suspect used to perpetrate the crime.
He said on September 15, 2024 at about 10:50pm, information was received at the Elemoro Police Division that the suspect allegedly killed one Gloria, who was his neighbour, and her son, over an argument on the cleaning of the environment.
The command spokesman alleged that the suspect put their dead bodies in a big sack to dispose of them.
He said that luck ran against him when other neighbours informed the police at Elemoro Division of the incident.
