A Switzerland-based Nigerian man has called out the Nigerian Embassy in Switzerland for blacklisting him.
The man, who recalled how a video he shared earlier effected a change in the Embassy, said he was blacklisted over same video.
Recounting how he applied for passport renewal at the embassy on December 9, 2020, the distraught man said no one answered his call before and after he visited the Embassy.
On his second visit, he said he was led into an office to see the Ambassador, Baba Madugu, after which he was given an update on his passport.
The Nigerian man, who disclosed that his getting blacklisted has affected his plans of traveling to Nigeria, went on to place curses on the Ambassador’s children while disclosing that he was told his passport will be ready on March 22, whereas he had a ticket for an earlier date.
He also alleged that passport renewal is fast-tracked in Nigerian Embassies in Europe by payment of bribe, noting that the Nigerian Embassies all over the continent is now a business centre where nothing gets done without money.
He, however, thanked the Ambassador, stating that his name being blacklisted is a blessing in disguise because he has saved him from people who might have wanted to kidnap or kill him in Nigeria.
He noted that he is not in any way disturbed by the action of the ambassador because he can choose to stay in Switzerland till “this regime” is over.
