The Lagos State Football Association has inaugurated electoral and appeal committees for the conduct of election into the board of the association holding on January 31.
Members of the electoral committee are Segun Babatunde (Chairman), Debo Oshundun, Adams Salaudeen and Hakeem Rabiu-Okikioposu (Secretary).
In the appeal committee, Kehinde Iroche will serve as Chairman, while Adeleye Egungbohun, Olaniyan Oyewole are members and Abayomi Ogunfuwa will serve as the Secretary of the committee.
Inaugurating the committees, the Chairman of LSFA, Seyi Akinwumi, charged members to conduct free and fair elections.
Akinwunmi said the members of the committees were selected based on their pedigree and integrity.
He said: “I don’t know most of you in person, but you are all highly recommended before your selection to serve in the committees.
“I want to task you all to ensure that you write your names in gold by conducting free, fair and credible elections into the board of LSFA.”
Babatunde on behalf of other members promised to deliver an election that will be acceptable to all contestants.
He said: “On behalf of other members of the committee, I want to assure you that we will do our best to conduct an election that will be acceptable to all.
“The guideline and code of election would be strictly adhere to, we will discharge our responsibilities without fear and favour to any candidate.”
Meanwhile, the electoral committee has release the timetable and guidelines for the election.
The sale of form is slated for January 10 to 15, while the submission is between January 16 and 21.
The deadline for the submission of form is 4pm on January 21.
Screening of candidates is to hold on between January 23 and 24.
The cost of form for the Chairmanship position is N125,000, while vice-chairman attracts N100,000.
The cost of form for ordinary membership is N75,000, while the form for the position reserved for a woman cost N50,000.
