Lobi Stars and Heartland FC are to slug it out in the final of the 2012 Federation Cup.
The two teams booked their tickets to the final on Wednesday when they eliminated Kano Pillars and Prime FC.
While Lobi Starts triumphed 5-4 over Kano Pillars via penalty shootout, giant killers, Prime FC of Osogbo, were humbled by Heartland, also via penalty, after regulation time ended 0-0.
Heartland won 3-0.
The first match was played at the U.J Esuene Stadium, Calabar, Cross River State while Heartland defeated Prime in front of a capacity crowd at the Ilorin Township Stadium, Kwara State.
Tope Akande of Prime FC and Kabir Umar of Heartland were shown the red card in the 12th minute of play by Referee Sani Mohammed.
The final will be played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on Sunday.
Heartland won last year’s cup.
