Liverpool are showing serious interest in Villarreal attacker Samuel Chukwueze.
The young Nigeria international has been linked with Manchester City and the Reds in recent days.
However, Marca says Liverpool have shown concrete interest in Chukwueze, with scouts posted regularly at Villarreal games this year to follow the attacker’s progress.
Just 19, Chukwueze was twice denied a move to Arsenal as a younger player due to UK work permit difficulties.
Villarreal have upped his buyout clause to €60 million this season, but such a price won’t put off Premier League clubs given his growing reputation.
