Super Eagles’ forward, Victor Moses, is back in the good books at Liverpool after an impressive display and strike for the Anfield side against Bournemouth in the fourth-round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
Liverpool cruise past their opponents with their goals coming from a likely and a less likely source, their second from Daniel Sturridge but their opener from Victor Moses, a player who had scored only once all season prior to Saturday.
That strike came in a 2-2 draw with Swansea City back in September.
And since then, the on-loan Chelsea man has failed to live up to his considerable talent.
With Sturridge and Luis Suarez starring for the Reds, it may be difficult for a player to steal a headline or two.
But even when he has been given chances he has failed to provide the goals and assists he was brought to Anfield to supply.
Against Bournemouth, that changed, and Moses’ all-round performance also suggested there may just be better things to come…if he can use this as a spring-board rather than a one-off.
Moses scored from his only shot on target during the match, and he made two key-passes to set up goal-scoring chances for his teammates.
He also had a pass-completion rate of 85 per cent and went on three dribbles (matched only by Sturridge).
Overall, the 23-year-old’s performance was an impressive one and Liverpool fans took to Twitter to commend the player’s star performance.
Accoring to a Liverpool fan, Graeme Fallon, @GraemeFallon: “Delighted Liverpool won today:-) I thought Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Victor Moses were brilliant today. #LFC.”
Varun Singh @lfcVarunsingh also stated: “Well done @VictorMoses It was good to see your runs on Flank #BEAST Just don’t lose the ball…!!!”
Tadhg Walsh @Tadhgiscool believed that victor moses was the man of the match.
GeorgeDoors LFC @stardorman Fair play to @VictorMoses today. Was one of the best players on the pitch, hope he pushes on for the rest of the season, just as MarkyB @markyb_lfc9 noted that it was not a bad show today for Moses. Not bad at all. #lfc.
