The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry said it has extended an invitation to a large trade delegation from China to collaborate with Nigerian businesses across various sectors, with the goal of fostering valuable commerce deals worth millions of dollars.
The Chamber disclosed that the move is at the instance of the ongoing Lagos International Trade Fair.
This was contained in a press release signed by the LCCI Director General, Dr Chinyere Almona, on Monday.
Almona disclosed that the Chinese delegation at the LITF will be engaging directly with Nigerian entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and business stakeholders at the CHINA HALLS 1 & 2 from Tuesday, 5th to Thursday, 7th November at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
He further indicated that at the China Hall, four key fairs will highlight innovative products and services that are vital to Nigeria’s economic sectors.
These, he highlighted include: “West Africa Hardware, Tools, and Mechatronics Fair – Showcasing a diverse range of products essential to Nigeria’s core industries, this fair brings solutions for food processing, transport infrastructure, energy, and construction. It serves as a crucial opportunity for Nigerian companies to access tools and hardware to scale their operations and improve efficiency.

“International Automotive Parts, Equipment, and Services Fair – Aimed at supporting Nigeria’s growing automotive industry, this fair features an array of automotive parts, equipment, and services. These products are instrumental in advancing local automotive capabilities, promoting self-sufficiency, and strengthening the automotive value chain in Nigeria.
“International Houseware and Gift Fair – This fair introduces the latest trends and innovations in household goods and gifts. It offers Nigerian businesses an avenue to explore high-quality products that appeal to the modern consumer, fostering trade opportunities in the retail and lifestyle sectors.
“Nigeria International Textile Industry Fair – This fair focuses on the textile and garment industry, a sector with deep roots in Nigerian culture and a pivotal role in job creation. By bringing together industry leaders and product developers, this fair provides opportunities for Nigerian businesses to gain access to new textiles, machinery, and sustainable practices to enhance their production processes”.
LCCI DG stated that the fairs are designed not only to showcase products and technologies but also to enable hands-on interaction and knowledge exchange, adding that they present an invaluable opportunity for Nigerian companies to connect with their Chinese counterparts, establish supply chains, and explore innovations that align with Nigeria’s development goals across various sectors.
“We encourage all stakeholders to take full advantage of the opportunities at these fairs to foster lasting, impactful partnerships” Almona appealed.
Against the background of Nigeria’s trade sector with a resilient profile by performing well above many other sectors at this time of Nigeria’s harsh economic conditions, LCCI called for more streamlined trade procedures that could encourage more trading partners to interact with Nigerian businesses.
It assured that this will create more trading opportunities for Nigerian wholesale and retail businesses, especially the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises.
