The woes of Arsenal FC continued on Tuesday night as a League Two side, Bradford, stunned the Arsene Wenger side via penalties to book a place in the Capital One Cup semi-finals.
Bradford twice failed from the spot but Santi Cazorla, Marouane Chamakh and Thomas Vermaelen of Arsenal missed their efforts to the delight of the Bantams.
The home side took the lead when Garry Thompson met a free-kick from the right with a side foot volley.
With seconds of regulation time remaining, Vermaelen headed in from two yards to send the match into extra-time.
But Arsenal could not consolidate on the effort, with Bradford stretching the match into extra time.
