The Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA) is set to develop an ultramodern office complex, befitting of the Urban renewal institution.
This was disclosed by the LASURA General Manager, Ms. Ajibike Shomade during a visit to the Agency Tuesday by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Engr.Tayo Bamgbose-Martins.
Shomade in a press release signed by Adeola Olagoke AD, Public Affairs of the Agency, stated that there was an ongoing plan to redevelop the whole of the Agency’s complex into an iconic twin-tower edifice of 13 floors and an office building for LASURA.
She explained that the construction of the iconic structure, which necessitated the Agency operating from a temporary office, would be expedited for the efficient operation of the Agency.
Her words: “The planned redevelopment of the LASURA Office building, which will occupy 2000 square metres of the over 8500 landmass, will birth a twin-tower thirteen-floors edifice. The completion of the structure will sound a positive note in our efforts to provide leadership in Urban renewal and set the right direction for the future”
She stated further that LASURA had transformed over the years, since the advent of the Administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, whose priority for the built environment in general and Urban renewal in particular was unequalled and indicative of the resolve to achieving a 21st Century Economy in the State as indicated by the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda.
