The routes through which President Muhammadu Buhari will pass during his visit to Lagos for the All Progressives Congress presidential rally on Saturday have been released.
This is coming amid preparation of the residents for a lockdown of the city as seen on the social media.
The presidential movement routes have been identified as:
ROUTE ONE (MOTORCADES) PRESIDENTIAL WING –OBA OF LAGOS PALACE:
From Presidential Wing – Airport Road – Airport Toll Gate – Ajao Estate – Oshodi Oke –Anthony Oke – Gbagada – Oworonshoki – Third Mainland Bridge – Adekunle Inter-section – Adeniji Adele Junction – Oba Of Lagos Palace.
ROUTE TWO (MOTORCADE) OBA OF LAGOS PALACE – STATE HOUSE MARINA
From Oba of Lagos Palace – Oyebanji – Third Mainland Bridge – Obalende – Onikan Bridge –Onikan Round About – TBS – State House Marina.
ROUTE THREE (MOTORCADE) OBA OF LAGOS PALACE –TESLIM BALOGUN STADIUM
From State House Marina -Obalende –Third Mainland Bridge – Adekunle Intersection – Adekunle Junction – Herbert Macaulay Way – Jibowu Under Bridge – Moshalashi Junction (By Empire ) – Abati Barracks –Ojuelegba Bridge –Teslim Balogun Stadium.
ROUTES FOUR (MOTORCADE) TESLIM BALOGUN STADIUM PRESIDENTIAL WING
From Teslim Balogun –Ojuelegba Bridge – Abati Barracks – Dormalong Bridge – Jibowu – Ikorodu Road – Anthony Loop –Anthony Oke – Oshodi Oke – Ajao Estate – Airport Toll Gate –Airport Road –Presidential Wing.
Lagosians, on various social media platforms, especially WhatsApp, appeared to have braced themselves for the lockdown of the city.
Many have advised that staying indoors will be better than taking a risk of running into traffic.
