A member of Lagos State Football Association Women Committee, Ossy Nwokeabia, says the state is set to revive female football.
Nwokeabia disclosed this at the opening ceremony of the 2012 Ekofootball Women Championship on Thursday.
He said the competition is just the beginning of the revival of women football in the state, praising LSFA for they vision and focus of developing football holistically in the state.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of discipline of the teams, urging them to keep it up.
Meanwhile, the 2012 Ekofootball Women championship has kicked- off at Campos Square Mini Stadium, Lagos Island with Helen Queens white washing Aara Babes by four goals to nil in group A to take the leadership of their group.
In the second match of day, Yaba Queens walked over Real Dynamos football club in group B while Jagunmolu Queens and Young Talented Babes ended the other group A match in a 2-2 draw.
