The Commissioner, Lagos State Police Command, CP Olarenwaju Ishola, has pledged improved and enhanced collaboration with Nigerian students in the fight against social vices, crime and criminality.
The Commissioner gave this pledge while hosting executives of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Lagos State Chapter.
The team, hosted at the State Command Headquarters to discuss ways of improving relations between the police and students, was led by Comrade Olamilekan Alimi.
Comrade Alimi promised the CP that Nigerian students would partner with the police in crime fighting by providing actionable information in good time.
He also, on behalf of students, urged the CP to encourage Divisional Police Officers, especially those in areas with high student populations, to adopt a more helpful, friendly and discretional approach while interacting with students.

On his part, CP Ishola praised the students for their contributions to maintaining peace within their institutions and the state at large and assured them that the Command would prioritise their safety and security at all times.
