A new Controller for the Nigerian Correctional Service, Lagos State Command, Sam Iyokorega, has assumed office.
The Public Relations Officer of the command, Superintendent Rotimi Oladokun, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday in Lagos.
NAN reports that the new controller took over from Noel Aliwon, who was posted out of the state in December 2019.
Iyokorega, before his redeployment to Lagos, was the head of the Delta State Command of the NCoS.
NAN reports that President Muhammadu Buhari had in 2019 changed the name of the organisation, which used to be known as Nigerian Prisons Service, to NCoS, after signing its amended Act into law.
