The operatives of the Lagos State Task Force has assured members of the public of adequate safety around Oshodi and its environ.
The assurance followed news on Wednesday that an aide of the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, MC Oluomo, had been killed in the area.
Social media was awash with news of the killing, spreading fear among Lagos residents.
But the Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, dispelled the rumour.
Egbeyemi pointed out that everywhere around Oshodi is calm and that security officers of the Agency are fully on ground to forestall any attempt by any miscreant or hoodlum to cause mayhem around Oshodi area and its environ.
While enjoining members of the public to continue with their lawful businesses, the Chairman warned that any miscreant or hoodlum caught fomenting trouble around Oshodi and any other part of the State would be seriously dealt with in accordance with the law.
